Entrepreneur Bill Broadbent will speak about edible insects and their place in the global food supply in an online webinar hosted by Merryspring Nature Center Tuesday, June 14 at noon.

Edible Insects as a serious food source has been gaining acceptance across the United States, Canada, and Europe in recent years. In this online talk, Broadbent will speak about how edible insects can be a solution to a planet faced with a changing climate, increasing demand for food and food insecurity, and stressed farmland and water supplies.

Broadbent is an entrepreneur who runs Entosense, LLC — a company based in Lewiston that focuses on edible insects. Entosense products are available in over 500 retail stores nationwide. Prior to forming Entosense, Bill worked in contract printing and founded several e-commerce ventures.
