The Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition will hold its second annual Summer Community Barbecue and Fundraiser event Saturday, June 4. The open-to-all event runs from noon to 2 p.m. at Midcoast Strong Studio on 143 Maverick St. in Rockland and will be filled with food, fun and raffles. The event will help to raise additional funding to support the two recovery residences that provide basic needs such as housing, clothing, and access to food. The Friends House, located in Rockland, provides housing for to up to ten men and the women’s recovery house located in Camden, provides housing for up to eight women and their children. Both of the recovery residences are certified through the Maine Association of Recovery Residences.
