Somehow many years have flown by, and our Tannery Property still struggles to find its footing. The Riverwalk had a similar time of disagreement and divisiveness. I write here to say thank you to all of those, and there were many, who had anything to do with pushing the Riverwalk concept forward; from work-day volunteers to Coastal Mountain Land Trust, various committees and coalitions, the Conservation Commission, Select Boards, Parks and Rec, and on and on. Thank you. The Riverwalk is a beautiful thing. And it is ours forever.

To lose control of the Tannery Property would be a huge, missed opportunity. The property could be an incredible asset to the community spirit of this town. It could be a multi-purpose park and a permanent home for our Farmer’s Market. And it could be this forever.
