Two hundred turn out in Rockland to defend women’s rights

ROCKLAND — About 200 people turned out Saturday, May 14 for an hour-long rally in Rockland as part of a nationwide “Bans off our bodies “ movement.

The pro-choice rally comes following the release of a draft opinion of the U.S. Supreme Court to repeal the January 1973 Roe vs. Wade ruling that gave women the right to have an abortion.

The expected ruling would throw decisions on abortion rights to states.
