ROCKPORT — Under a sunny, clear blue sky, conditions could not have been better for the return of the track-and-field event for the Knox, Waldo and Lincoln County Special Olympics.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the 2022 meet on Friday, May 13 on the Camden Hills Regional High School campus, and featured throwing, running, walking and jumping events for all ages.

As with past years, the meet was kicked off by a team parade, and opening ceremonies, before athletes dispersed to test their mettle in the events.
