The town of Rockport owns 7.67 acres on the corner of Route 90 and Route 1, the former site of Rockport Elementary School. What should go here? Rockport residents are invited to share their input:
Monday April 25 from 5 to 6:30 p m., Masonic Hall in Simonton Corner, 361 Main St.
Monday May 2 from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Samoset Resort, 220 Warrenton St.
Tuesday May 10 from 5 to 6:30 p.m., West Rockport Baptist Church, 545 Park St.
The town is seeking community input both before and after a conceptual plan. We are hoping to create a plan that will receive widespread support throughout Rockport. Any conceptual plan that is advanced will be presented to Rockport voters for a vote. Members of the Rockport RES Redevelopment Task Force and Economic Development Committee will facilitate discussion, with town staff and members of the Select Board present to listen. Contact the town office with questions at 236-0806.
