ROCKLAND — Award-winning Canadian blues singer and guitarist Matt Andersen returns to the Strand Theatre stage Friday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. Canadian roots-rocker Terra Lightfoot will open the show.
Known for his giant soul-filled voice and commanding stage presence, Anderson has won a European Blues Award, Best Solo Performer at the Memphis Blues Challenge, and three Maple Blues Awards. His music videos have more than 10 million views on YouTube. In addition to headlining major festivals and theaters throughout North America, Europe and Australia, he has shared the stage with Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, Greg Allman, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Randy Bachman, Little Feat and more.
Terra Lightfoot is a guitarist-vocalist who melds her soulful voice with expert finger-picking and distorted, hook-heavy melodies. Lightfoot has released four critically acclaimed albums and produced The Longest Road Show, an all-female musical event that showcased emerging talents and charismatic headliners.
