CAMDEN

Two Select Board seats are up for election in Camden, a three-year term currently held by Marc Ratner, and the two remaining years of the term vacated when Matt Siegel resigned.

Ratner has returned nomination papers for Select Board as has Thomas Hedstrom, who is contending for the seat. James Calahan has also taken out papers for the seat. Taylor Pohlman has withdrawn his plans to run for the seat.

Former Select Board member Taylor Benzie, Stephanie French and Robert Lawson have taken out papers for the two-year term. French and Lawson have returned their papers and are official candidates.

Rebecca Flanagan has taken out and returned papers to seek another three-year term on the School Board. Taylor Pohlman has also taken out papers to run for one of the two seats up for election on the board. Peter Orne is an incumbent School Board member with a seat up for election this year, but has not taken out papers.

Nomination papers must be returned to the Town Office with between 25 and 100 signatures from Camden residents by April 15 at 3:30 p.m.

Those seeking the seats will only be official candidates once those papers are returned and the signatures are verified by the town clerk.

ROCKPORT

In Rockport, nomination papers are available for positions including Select Board seats, Budget Committee and School Board.

Denise Munger and James Annis have taken out papers for a three-year term on the Select Board. Annis has brought papers back.

Three seats, each with a three-year term, are available on the Budget Committee. The seats are currently held by Jeffrey Charland, Geoffrey Parker and Mark Kelley. Zachary Herrick has taken out papers for a Budget Committee seat.

Two Library Committee seats with three-year terms are available, currently held by William Chapman and Stephanie Kumble.

Brieanna Gutierrez has taken out papers for a three-year term for director of SAD 28 and the Five Town CSD School Board.

Nomination papers need to be returned to the Town Clerk’s Office by 5 p.m. Thursday, April 14. The election will be in June.

APPLETON

In Appleton, Select Board Vice Chair Peter Beckett has returned papers to run for another three-year term. Donald Burke is challenging him for the seat.

Victoria Bucklin, Emily Garrigan, Carly Kincaid and Jessica Wentworth have returned papers to run for two seats on the Appleton Village School Board.

Gregory Dumond has turned in papers to run for a three-year term on the Planning Board.

Also available are Planning Board associate member seats and one Five-Town CSD School Board seat, all with three-year terms. These will require write-in candidates.

The deadline to return nomination papers was Tuesday, April 5, by 3 p.m.

HOPE

Incumbent Select Board member Bruce Haffner has taken out nomination papers to seek another three-year term on the Select Board.

There are two Select Board positions up for election, his and the seat held by Wendy Pelletier.

Charles Weidman and Michael Schultz have also taken out papers for Select Board.

Five Budget Committee seats are also up for election. Three are three-year seats currently held by Betty Ingraham, Charles Weidman and Teresa Withee. There is a two-year seat as well. The remaining year of former committee member Elinor Goldberg’s term is also up for election.

Wendy Pelletier has brought back papers to serve for three years on the Budget Committee. Wayne Luce has also taken out for Budget Committee.

A Hope School Committee seat held by Jacob Eichenlaub and a Five Town CSD School Board seat held by James Pierce are also up for election.

Nicholas O’Hara has taken out papers for the Hope School Committee. Eichenlaub has returned papers to seek another term.

Lori Perez has brought back papers to run for the Five Town CSD.

LINCOLNVILLE

Jordan Barnett-Parker and Stephen Hand have both returned nomination papers to run for one three-year term on the Select Board.

Emily Flaherty and Robin L. Tarantino have taken out papers for Budget Committee seats.

No one else has taken out papers, but they are available for a three-year seat on the Lincolnville Central School Board, a three-year seat on the Five Town CSD School Board, and five seats on the Budget Committee, which include three, three-year seats, one for two years and one for one year. Papers are due back to the Town Office by April 15.
