Hope Historical Society will present a talk by an extreme survivalist, Zachary Fowler. Fowler won the third season of History Channel’s “Alone” series. He spent 87 days in Patagonia alone, being the second longest “Alone” contestant, thus far. During his 87 days, he subsisted on 63 fish and two birds that he caught; he lost 70 pounds. Fowler is an outdoorsman, slingshot specialist, YouTube creator, and former wooden boat builder. He manages his own business, Fowler’s Makery and Mischief, marketing outdoor products and YouTube videos.

Members and the public are welcome to attend this presentation, sponsored by the Hope Historical Society, April 19. The group will meet at the Hope Fire Department conference room at 6:30 p.m. for a brief business meeting followed by the speaker. There will be light refreshments after the talk. Face masks are at the discretion of the attendee. Hope Fire Department is located at 475 Camden Road, Hope.
