University of Maine doctoral student Julia Sunnarborg will lead a presentation about the principles of environmental DNA in an online webinar hosted by Merryspring Nature Center Tuesday, April 19 at noon. In this presentation, Julia Sunnarborg will discuss what eDNA is, its uses, and why scientists and resource managers find it exciting. She will discuss how scientists and resource managers utilize this tool to better understand the many organisms inhabiting Maine ecosystems and give specific examples of current ways that it is being used for research, conservation, and resource management.
