In many situations in the classroom or on the playground, these students are the ones who see everyone works together as a team. They think of the group rather than themselves. When working with a partner or completing a group project, these students are the ones who make it clear differences should be left behind, and everyone should work toward a common goal. They see to it collaboration, compromise, and cooperation are keys to teamwork.

Alden Wakem was also presented with the Principal’s Award. Alden is a marvelous member of the Thomaston Grammar School community. He is a ray of sunshine. He lights up any room he enters with his amazing smile and positive outlook. Alden quietly and consistently does the right thing. He is safe, kind, and tries his best always. He exemplifies what it means to be an excellent member of our school community.
