While the league previoulsy awarded all-conference selections for those deemed worthy for their efforts on the basketball courts, high school hoop coaches from the conference took it a step further with three more topnotch distinctions.

The coaches in Class A and B doled out additional awards, including honorable mention, all-defensive and all-rookie.

Thus, players from Camden Hills, Medomak Valley of Waldoboro, Oceanside of Rockland and Mount View of Thorndike earned individual awards. Mount View, a Class C team, receives awards in KVAC Class B.

Additionally, the Medomak Valley boys and Oceanside girls were deemed KVAC Class B champions by virtue of compiling the most Maine Principals’ Association Heal Points. Games were played in the past to determine league champions, but that was stopped a few years ago.
