APPLETON — In an effort to get families out to meet one another, and to have some fun in an open space, Terra Optima Farm hosted an open, Family Farm Day event on Feb. 27.

A welcome reprieve after the most recent snow storm just two days before, farm goers got to visit the animals on the farm, meet Romeo, a draft cross horse, and Josie, a miniature donkey. Food vendors were onsite, and the farm’s stand was open for business selling baked goods.
