ROCKLAND — A man was arrested Sunday night, Feb. 6 accused of breaking into an apartment and stealing items.

Joshua Drinkwater, 37, was charged by Rockland police with Class B burglary, theft, and criminal trespass, according to Rockland police. Drinkwater is a transient who formerly lived in Rockland.

Police said they were called to a suspected burglary on Brewster Street. Rockland officers collected evidence and statements from witnesses and the victim. Information was reported that an unknown person or persons had entered an unoccupied apartment and stolen at least one item.

Later in the evening, Rockland Police were able to identify the suspect and charged Drinkwater. At least one of the stolen items was recovered by officers.
