SOUTH PARIS — Camden Hills Nordic skiers traveled to Sunny Croft Farm for the Oxford Hills Sprints on Saturday, Feb. 5, a high school snow event which saw the Windjammers clock solid times ahead of the conference championships.

Teams/participants from Cheverus of Portland, Mount Blue of Farmington, Portland, Leavitt of Turner, Quarry Road Ski Club of Waterville, Deering of Portland, Falmouth, Maranacook of Readfield, Winthrop, Lake Region, Telstar of Bethel, Edward Little of Auburn, North Yarmouth Academy and York also were involved in the high school event.

Team scores were not recorded.

The Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference ski championships will begin for Nordic on Thursday, Feb. 10 with the classical race at Sugarloaf Mountain at Carrabassett Valley and will conclude with the freestyle race on Saturday, Feb. 12 at Titcomb Mountain in Farmington.

The KVAC ski championships for Alpine will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at Black Mountain in Rumford with the giant slalom race and will conclude with the slalom race on Saturday, Feb. 12 at Titcomb Mountain in Farmington.

The individual Camden Hills results from Feb. 5 included:

Girls time trial — 23, Brenna Mackey, 3:22; 34, Maggie Gill, 3:37; 38, Lea Zwecker, 3:41; 42, Amelia Porter, 3:52; and 48, Lucy O’Brien, 4:22.

Boys time trial — 31, Avery Hackett, 2:50; 33, Soren Beckstrom, 2:53; and 44, Quinn Riordan, 3:01.

Girls 3K — 11, Madeline Tohanczyn, 15:03; 12, Natalie Gill, 15:14; 19, Charlotte Taylor, 16:58; 23, Lizzie Larsen-Leavins, 17:55; 25, Flora Gurdon, 20:22.

Boys 3K — 23, Cameron Pichbeck, 12:36; 27, Ben Tohanczyn, 13:12; 28, Liam Larsen-Leavins, 13:22; and 29, Colin Wright, 13:24.
