How do we reimagine a sustainable global tourism economy that can survive the uncertainties of the future? With Maine’s tourism industry strongly tied to the global tourism economy through several international work visa programs canceled — or extremely limited — during the pandemic, many small businesses have endured more than just lost clientele from the pandemic, but the needed workforce to serve the much smaller crowds of visitors over the past two years.
