CAMDEN — The Camden Opera House’s occasional series The Literary Salon returns Sunday, Feb. 13, with “Love, Belfast.” The 2 p.m. Valentine-themed matinee of readings by four Belfast poets, all of whom have served as that city’s poet laureate, runs an hour at the downtown opera house, 29 Elm St. Admission is free, but tickets are required to ensure socially distancing seating. This program also can be enjoyed as a free livestream on the COH Facebook page.

“Love, Belfast” will be helmed by Judy Kaber, current Poet Laureate of Belfast, Maine. Author of three chapbooks, the award-winning Kaber has published in a number of journals including december, Poet Lore, The Comstock Review, Atlanta Review and The Guardian. She facilitates a weekly poetry critique group, The Wheelbarrow School of Poetry, at Belfast Free Library.

Ellen Sander, an early rock journalist, has published two books, including “Trips, Rock Life in the Sixties” and a recent Red Bird Chapbook. She has served on the Belfast Poetry Festival steering committee and is a member of Beyond Baroque, the Authors Guild, The Maine Poets Society and the Academy of American Poets.

Karin Spitfire is an artist of multiple media including stage performances, collaborative community happenings, poetry, letterpress art and artist books. Her poem “Liquidation” won the national first place in the 2019 Joe Gouveia Outermost Poetry Contest.

Elizabeth W. Garber is the author of three books of poetry and a collaboration of her poetry and essays with paintings and photographs by Michael Weymouth. Currently she is focused on memoir, with one in-progress and 2018’s “Implosion: A Memoir of an Architect’s Daughter.”

Also happening this week at the opera house is a Camden Winterfest concert by the Pete Kilpatrick Band, with Dan Blakeslee, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10. Tickets are $22 in advance/$25 day-of-show.
