ROCKLAND — The Rockland Public Library invites community members to make a Valentine’s Day card — or many — to help send some love to local nursing home residents.

There are three ways to participate: make cards with supplies you have at home, pick up a Valentine’s Day grab-n-go card kit at the library, or make a card at the table set with supplies at the library. Cards should have an encouraging and uplifting message, and not be intended for a specific person or gender. The drive begins on Monday, Jan. 24 and all cards must be returned to the specially designated Valentine’s Day drop box in the library, by Thursday, Feb. 10.

This even is part of the Library’s Kindness Counts Initiative. Stay tuned for a new activity each month, focused on kindnesses large and small.
