EUSTIS, FLA. — David Ward passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on Nov. 16,2021.

David was born on Jan. 29, 1958, in Worcester, Mass. He was an amazing carpenter and loved doing projects with his family, even giving his great-granddaughter her first toolbox.

David loved being outdoors and was always keeping busy with handyman projects. Family meant the world to him, and would travel back and forth from Maine to Florida to spend as much time as he could with everyone. David and his high-school sweetheart of over 35 years, Patricia Peters, had two children: Jamacan Penney-Vassey and Travis Peters. Although the lives of Patricia and Travis were cut short,  David continued to cherish his time with his daughter, Jamacan, her husband, Kelly Vassey, and children: Shaunacy Peters, Kristin Penney, Brooke Littlefield, and Dean Penney. He especially cherished his time with his great-grandchildren: Greensley Corbin-Peters, Grier Peasley-Peters and Theodore Littlefield.

David is survived by Charlie Ward, whom he considered his Dad, and sister, Joyce Ward, both of Rockland. He was predeceased by his mother, Pauline Ward; brothers, Steven Ward, Johnny Rae Ward; and sister, Dawn Ward.

A Celebration of Life will be at the American Legion, 335 Limerock St, Rockland, ME 04841 on Jan. 29, 2022, from 3-5 p.m.
