ROCKPORT — After veteran Camden Hills wrestling coach Patrick Kelly honored the team’s seniors in his usual touching, heartfelt manner on Wednesday night, Jan. 19, it was time for the Windjammers to host — and battle — Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield and neighboring Medomak Valley of Waldoboro in later-season, regular-season matches.

Although there were the usual slew of forfeits as high school mat teams grapple with smaller numbers this winter after being sidelined in 2020 due to the pandemic, the matches contested on Wednesday proved fun, hard-fought and mostly competitive.
