ROCKLAND — The Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St., presents a screening of “The Neutral Ground” by CJ Hunt, Darcy McKinnon, and Roy Wood Jr., on Thursday, Feb. 3, at 6 p.m. This event is free and open to all.

“The Neutral Ground” documents New Orleans’ fight over monuments and America’s troubled romance with the Lost Cause. In 2015, director CJ Hunt was filming the New Orleans City Council’s vote to remove four confederate monuments. But when that removal is halted by death threats, Hunt sets out to understand why a losing army from 1865 still holds so much power in America.

This event is a collaboration with the award-winning documentary series POV (pbs.org/pov).

For more information or for links to attend via Zoom, please email elewis@rocklandmaine.gov by 4 p.m. on Feb. 3 and identify the event you are interested in attending in the subject line.
