AUBURN — One day earlier than scheduled — in an attempt to beat the bone-chilling temperatures — the Camden Hills Alpine ski team trekked north and participated in its first high school meet of the winter, this time at Lost Valley.

By the meet’s end, the Windjammer girls collected a team win, while the boys finished fourth.

The girls team scores were: Camden Hills 759, Maranacook of Readfield 752, Telstar of Bethel 743, Skowhegan 707 and Oxford Hills of South Paris, Leavitt of Turner, Edward Little of Auburn, Mountain Valley of Rumford and Cony of Augusta no score.

The boys team scores were: Maranacook 783, Oxford Hills 762, Edward Little 761, Camden Hills 755 and Winthrop, Skowhegan, Mountain Valley and Leavitt no score.

The Windjammer girls individual results included: 4, Lily Stowe, 37.26 first run and 37.48 second run for combined 1:14.74; 11, Maggie Metzler, 39.50 and 40.34 for 1:19.84; 14, Greer LaFiura, 41.97 and 43.23 for 1:25.20; 16, Piper Urey, 42.01 and 44.23 for 1:26.24; 21, Sophia Howell, 44.32 and 44.88 for 1:29.20; 23, Marlie Berard, 46.37 and 46.97 for 1:33.34; 27, Ava Tobias, 48.28 and 49.23 for 1:37.51; and 29, Victoria Wohlers, 54.40 and 53.97 for 1:48.37.

The Windjammer boys individual results included: 7, Brit LaFiura, 35.03 first run and 35.43 second run for combined 1:10.46; 9, Roger Huguet, 35.05 and 36.47 for 1:11.52; 14, Marc Huguet, 35.97 and 36.38 for 1:12.35; 19, Ryan Southworth, 37.68 and 37.65 for 1:15.33; 26, Ryan Anderson, 42.81 and 41.20 for 1:24.01; and 36, Thomas Mitchell, 45.91 and 49.48 for 1:35.39.
