LINCOLNVILLE — The town Planning Board heard proposals Wednesday, Dec. 29 for a change of use to create a new School Union 69 business office, and alcohol sales at the General Store.

No votes were taken. The issues will be back before the board, likely, at the Jan. 12 meeting.

The first proposal is for the conversion of an existing nonresidential use at 2561 Atlantic Highway. “The property was previously a dentist office and has been converted to the School Union #69 business offices,” the agenda states. The owners of the property are Broo and Jennifer Temple. The project may take several meetings to gain approval.

The board also began review of a request “to serve alcohol at the counter of the first floor of The General Store and to add chairs and tables upstairs and will also serve alcohol upstairs.” The property is located at 269 Main St.

Briar Lyons, the owner, presented the request. The agenda notes, “This is a what if meeting not a preapplication.”
