ROCKLAND – High school students are invited to learn about techniques for visual journaling in a free drop-in workshop led by Arts@Work mentor Alexis Iammarino at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, 21 Winter St., on Friday, Dec. 17, from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
Participants will exchange ideas about how to create a journal or sketchbook on a regular basis and how this creative habit can support personal projects. This is a great workshop to attend ahead of the winter break to launch dreaming, scheming and creative projects for the new year. All materials are provided.
CMCA offers monthly free workshops and studio demos for high school students on the third Friday of each month in its ArtLab from 2:30 to 5 p.m. This series is part of CMCA’s Arts@Work program, a free mentorship program connecting high school students across the Midcoast region to arts leadership, career development, volunteer opportunities and studio practice.
Arts@Work is supported by the Nellie L. Taft Foundation and Camden National Bank.
