THOMASTON — The Episcopal Church of St. John Baptist hosts a community Messiah Sing in Watts Hall Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m.

Due to COVID protocols, all participants must present proof of vaccination upon arrival. Seating in a socially distanced arrangement will be required and will be limited.

The event will be directed by Anthony Antolini, artistic director of Down East Singers. Members of Mozart Mentors Orchestra and keyboard player Sean Fleming will provide accompaniment.

All area singers interested in performing the Christmas portion and the Hallelujah Chorus of G.F. Handel’s 1741 Messiah are invited to participate. Some scores will be available to lend to those who do not have their own. Singers will be seated in sections by voice part.

Soloists include soprano Robyn Tarantino, contralto Joëlle Morris, tenor Hayden Sears and bass Dominique Rosoff.

Non-singers are welcome to listen if seating is available.

The event is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted.

Watts Hall is located at 174 Main St. at the intersection of Knox Street. Parking is available on Main and Knox streets and behind the Business Block.
