ROCKLAND — Children will soon have a new play set to use thanks to the generosity of a local business.
Cedar Works donated the play set, which will be placed at the Merritt Park Playground next to the Flanagan Community Center. The Rockland City Council accepted the donation at its Nov. 8 meeting, and directed a letter of thanks be sent to the company.
The play set is valued at more than $10,000.
City Manager Tom Luttrell said the new play set will replace a boat play set that was in disrepair.
