THOMASTON — Maine Authors Publishing hosts its second Virtual Holiday Book Fair Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 1 through 3, as a thank you for shopping local and supporting local authors this holiday season.

All orders placed through the Maine Authors Publishing website during the holiday fair will include free gift wrapping and the opportunity to win a holiday prize package. The 10th and 25th orders each day will receive a prize that includes a $25 gift certificate to one of the following bookstores: Print: A Bookstore, Sherman’s Books & Stationery, Mockingbird Books, Owl & Turtle Bookshop Café, Devaney, Doak & Garrett Booksellers, or Letterpress Books.

On Wednesday, Dec. 1, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Maine Authors Publishing hosts a Facebook livestream to start the fair. The online event features five short presentations by Geoffrey M. Cooper (“Forever;” “Bad Medicine;” “Ill Intent”), Ellen Goldsmith (“Left Foot, Right Foot”), Laurie Apgar Chandler (“Upwards;” “Through Woods & Waters”), Tina L. Moody (“The Spiritual Awakening of an Analytical Mind”), and Kathleen Murray-Allain and Mattie Rose Templeton (“The Girl with Berries”). All attendees who comment a question will be entered into a five-book giveaway at the end of the livestream.

On Friday, Dec. 3, at 10:30 a.m., Maine Authors Publishing hosts its monthly free orientation class via Zoom, where attendees can learn how the publisher guides local Maine writers from written manuscript to printed books. The class presentation includes Q&A opportunities throughout. To register, email info@maineauthorspublishing.com.

Maine Authors Publishing has been bringing local stores, readers and writers together since 2009. As a cooperative-style publisher, its goal is to support local, independent authors throughout the publishing process with affordable services such as editing, design, printing, a trade catalog, distribution, and marketing assistance. Only a percentage of books are accepted under the Maine Authors Publishing imprint after they have been vetted for writing and design quality.
