ROCKLAND — The Rockland Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department announced Wednesday, Nov. 24 the promotion of two veteran firefighters.
“It is with great pride that the City of Rockland announces the following promotions,” the news release stated.
Patrick Lowe was promoted to the position of Assistant Fire Chief, assigned to C-Shift. Lowe has been a lieutenant for the past four years. Thomas Shook was promoted to the position of Lieutenant, assigned to B-Shift.
“Both have shown outstanding leadership in their existing roles, and we all wish them the best of luck in their new positions,” Fire Chief Chris Whytock stated.
Lowe succeeds Assistant Chief Ken Elwell, who recently retired after nearly 30 years with the department.
