THOMASTON — The Thomaston Historical Society installed profiles of local veterans at their satellite gallery in the municipal building at 13 Valley St.

With the help of Joanne Richards of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Sandy Moore of Salute to Veterans, the Historical Society displayed a sample of veteran profiles from the Revolutionary War to the Mideast conflicts.

Also featured in the gallery are fallen soldiers and sailors, such as Perez Tilson during the Civil War, Tauno Brooks in Korea, and Sayward Hall and Arthur Elliot during Vietnam.

Visits are encouraged to help the town remember those featured and all who have served our country. If you are a veteran in the Thomaston area, and have not spoken with the society, email

The display will be up until mid-December.
