ROCKLAND — The final touches to the communication tower at 182 Camden St. were installed Thursday, Nov. 18.

Workers climbed up the 120-foot monopole to attach the communications equipment to the top of the pole. A crane lifted the equipment to the top of the pole.

Bay Communications first proposed the tower in October 2019.

The Rockland Planning Board rejected the project in February 2020, which led the company to file a lawsuit in federal court. The City Council and Bay Communications III, LLC reached an agreement to allow the tower to be erected. The Rockland Planning Board challenged that agreement, but a federal judge dismissed the claims in April.
