ROCKLAND — Award-winning jazz singer Kat Edmonson, known for her vintage cosmopolitan pop style, offers her take on beloved holiday classics Saturday, Dec. 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the Strand Theatre, 345 Main St.

Enjoy a festive evening as Edmonson celebrates the release of her new jazz holiday album with a 10-stop tour. “Holiday Swingin’! A Kat Edmonson Christmas Vol. 1” features a host of reinterpreted classics including “Let It Snow” and “O Christmas Tree.”

Raised on the music and film of the early- to mid-20th century, Edmonson is an artist who embodies the spirit of the past while remaining resolutely au courant. She performs original songs and familiar classics in her live show, interweaving humorous anecdotes and  philosophical musings. Edmonson’s longtime band members’ keen and sensitive accompaniment allows her to freely veer off-script as she’s often inclined to do.

Edmonson has been featured on Austin City Limits, Tiny Desk Concerts, A Prairie Home Companion, and The Late Show with David Letterman.

Tickets are $18/Advance, $21/Day of Show. The Strand Theatre’s COVID safety policies for live shows require patrons and staff to wear face masks and provide proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours. For more information and tickets, visit rocklandstrand.com.
