ROCKLAND — A 47-year-old Rockland woman was charged with hindering apprehension of her husband who police had been trying to locate and arrest on child pornography charges.

Dawn R. Lucier was charged by Rockland police with Class C hindering apprehension or prosecution.

According to an affidavit filed by Rockland police in the Knox County court, officers sought her husband Thomas Lucier, 41, on an arrest warrant for possessing and disseminating sexually explicit materials involving minors. A detective spoke with Dawn Lucier starting on Sept. 1 and she denied knowing where her husband was.

Police warned her that if she was lying to officers, or helping her husband in any way, she could be charged with a crime.

Through an investigation and search warrants, law enforcement learned there had been hundreds of phone calls and texts between the Luciers since police had sought him, according to the affidavit. They also learned she was meeting him and delivering him food, money, and belongings from their residence, according to the affidavit.

Thomas Lucier was apprehended at the Thorndike apartments in Rockland on Oct. 18.

Rockland police obtained an arrest warrant for Dawn Lucier on Nov. 5.
