CAMDEN — Camden-Rockport Middle School celebrated National Hispanic Heritage Month. Covid-19 prevented last year’s event, but this year the celebration was alive and well.

All of the eighth grade Spanish students learned dances from Latin American countries, under the direction of choreographer Erma Colvin and Spanish faculty members Aaron Henderson and Cara Wincklhofer.

The dances ranged from a traditional Mexican dance — La Cucaracha—  to a present day rap song from NYC.  The project was supported by the Bisbee Fund.
