TENANTS HARBOR — Marshall Point Lighthouse Museum had 19,623 visitors during the 2021 season from Memorial Day weekend to Indigenous Peoples Day, Oct. 11.

This was a record number of visitors for a season, and the number reflects only visitors from the U.S., as most foreign visitors were precluded from visiting the United States.

In keeping with CDC guidelines, masks were worn by all visitors to the museum.

Buick and L.L. Bean (twice) photographed scenes for their commercial use this past summer at this location.

The museum was opened in 1990, while the current lighthouse was established in 1858. Also, on the campus is a memorial to those St. George fishermen lost at sea.
