ROCKLAND — The city playground located between James and Warren streets has undergone an upgrade thanks to the city and volunteers.

City Manager Tom Luttrell said earth work was done to even out the grounds of the longtime playground. The property had been uneven, had slopes, and there were many ruts.

The playground equipment was removed while the work to level the site was done but will be re-installed.

The work was done by public works, JBI, and other volunteers. A full list of volunteers will be added to the article.
