CAMDEN — The Midcoast Maine Chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association is asking mountain bikers and other trail enthusiasts to help with some trail improvement days this fall.

There will be trail work rebuilding several trail corners Saturday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Nov. 6 from 8:30 am to noon. Meet by the toboggan chute parking area and hike or ride up to the trail work zone. Tools will be available.

Saturday Nov. 13, workers will be rebuilding wooden drops. Meet at 8:30 in the toboggan chute parking area. The goal is to build three progressive height drops with predictable landing zones and a berm at the bottom to help direct riders to the next portion of the trail.

MCNEMBA relies primarily on volunteer efforts to build, improve, and maintain trails in the Midcoast. This summer, technical and drainage improvements were made on the pump track at the Camden Snow Bowl. The club also looks forward to engaging more volunteers to “take a turn” with a growing list of 2022 spring projects.
