ROCKLAND — Solar panels have been installed on the roof of Rockland City Hall.

Ten panels that can produce 3,000 watts were installed the week of Oct. 22 by ReVision Energy. ReVision agreed to install the panels for free as a demonstration project for Rockland’s participation in a solar farm in Skowhegan.

The Rockland City Council voted 5-0 at its April 13, 2020 meeting to authorize the city manager to negotiate and enter into a contract with Aligned Climate Capital to purchase solar power from Revision Energy’s solar project in the Somerset County city.
