ROCKLAND — A Rockland man was arrested Monday on charges of possessing and disseminating child pornography.

Thomas Lucier, 41 was arrested Oct. 18 on multiple outstanding warrants related to the possession and dissemination of child pornography, according to the Rockland Police Department. The warrants were issued after an investigation by the Rockland Police Department and Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit.

Lucier was apprehended by the US Marshals Violent Offender Task Force which is comprised of officers from the U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Border Patrol, Maine State Police, Maine Department of Corrections and the Biddeford Police Department. Lucier was arrested in Rockland. The task force was involved because Lucier had been evading arrest.
