MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.— Orman “Jerry” Oswaldo Deane, 77, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, S.C.

He was born May 12, 1944, in Searsport, son of the late Earl and Muriel Dakin Deane. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by an uncle, Bev Dakin.

Survivors include his son, Jerry Deane, of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Cassandra Deane, of Boston, Mass.; two grandchildren, Alissa Olivier and Miranda Olivier; three brothers, David Deane and his wife, Karen, of Warren, Randy Deane and his wife, Bonnie, of Appleton and Billy Deane and his wife, Carol, of Friendship; two sisters, Donna Doherty, of Camden and Earlene Corey and her husband, Steve, of Texas; his significant other, Georgia Orphanos of Northborough, Mass. and ex-wife, Helen Holly Boivin.

Jerry was an avid golfer. He loved the ocean and spending time with his family and friends, especially his two granddaughters. He had a witty sense of humor and he liked politics.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at a later date in Maine.
