ROCKLAND — The Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St., presents a film screening of “Night of the Living Dead,” Thursday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m. This event is free and open to all.

Join organizers for a spooky screening of the classic 1968 horror story that inspired a generation of zombie movies. Directed by George A. Romero and starring Duane Jones and Judith O’Dea, the film centers on a group of people in rural western Pennsylvania who find themselves besieged by undead creatures. Seeking shelter in an isolated farmhouse, they must survive the night amid the hungry ghouls.

This event will be held in-person, with limited seating, and simultaneously screened over Zoom. For more information or to request a Zoom link, email by 4 p.m. on Oct. 14.
