THOMASTON — The town of Thomaston honored Police Chief Tim Hoppe for 20 years of service Sept. 23.

The Town Office closed for a celebration with a personalized cake and snacks. Town employees and Hoppe’s friends and family were present for the event.

Town Manager Kara George presented Hoppe with a plaque.

George thanked the Thomaston Police Department for their work during a time when it is not easy to be a police officer. She also thanked Hoppe for his hard work and dedication for the past 20 years.

Hoppe said he was lost for words, and was honored to be working with the people of Thomaston.
