OWLS HEAD — A crew of three was rescued Sept. 24 when a fishing boat sank off Ash Island.

A spokeswoman with the Coast Guard public affairs office in Boston said no one was injured. Another boat was nearby and able to pick up the crew members from the sinking 37-foot long Rising Tide.

The incident occurred at about 2 p.m. Sept. 24.

The vessel was coming in to shore, loaded with fish, when a large wave struck it.
