As the days grow shorter and cooler, the high school golf regular season continued to sizzle for Midcoast teams.

On Friday, Sept. 17, Camden Hills fell to Brunswick 8-1 and Mount Ararat of Topsham 7.5-1.5, while on Thursday, Sept. 16, the Windjammers split its matches with the same squads.

Also on Thursday, Sept. 16, Oceanside of Rockland defeated Lincoln Academy of Newcastle 6-3, Medomak Valley of Waldoboro fell 9-0 against Leavitt of Turner and Mount View of Thorndike lost 9-0 to Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield.

Additionally, Belfast fell in a midweek match to Lawrence of Fairfield 5-4 on Wednesday, Sept. 14, while the Lions bested Nokomis of Newport 8-1 on Monday, Sept. 13.

Monday also was a busy day for other area squads, as Medomak Valley bested Morse of Bath 6-3, Camden Hills topped Edward Little of Auburn 6-3 and Skowhegan 7.5-1.5 and Oceanside fell to Leavitt of Turner 8-1.

Brunswick 8, Camden Hills 1

At Brunswick Sept. 17, the Dragons roared to victory over the Windjammers. Brunswick finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 174 to 193 for Camden Hills.

Austin earned medalist honors as he shot 37.

Mount Ararat 7.5, Camden Hills 1.5

At Brunswick Sept. 17, the Eagles soared above the Windjammers. Mount Ararat finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 179 to 193 for Camden Hills.

At Walpole Sept. 16, the Mariners sailed to a win over the host Eagles. Oceanside prevailed by a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 172 to 178 for Lincoln Academy.

At Northport Sept. 15, the Bulldogs edged the Lions in match play. Lawrence and Belfast finished with four-golfer, nine-hole totals of 200, a rare tie and a split of three team points.

The individual results, with Lion golfers listed first, were: James Ritter (47) beat Corbin Kissinger (52), .5; K.J. Payson (48) beat Trey Goodwin (51), 2+1; Hagen Chase (53) lost to Cole Quirion (47), 1-down; Bobby Banks (56) lost to Gage Boudreau (50), 2-down; Zach Sanderson (52) beat Jesse Dixon (57), 1-up; and Caden Nickerson (65) lost to Matt Quigley (54), 5+4.

Ritter and Quiron were co-medalists with 47.

Medomak Valley 6, Morse 3

At Rockland Sept. 13, the Panthers picked up a home victory over the Shipbuilders. Medomak Valley finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 240 to 262 for Morse.

The individual results, with Panthers listed first were: Tyler Metcalf (46) beat Max Owen (59), 4+2; Logan Look (59) beat Maddie Owen (74), 5+4; James Mayo (59) beat Gage Suitter (74), 3+2; Aiden Abbotoni (77) lost to Aidan Shields (63), 4+2; and Lochlan Murray (76) lost to Oscar Nelson (66), 2-down. Kadyn Doyle also shot a 77 for Morse.

Leavitt 8, Oceanside 1

At Rockland Sept. 13, the Mariners were bested by unbeaten Leavitt. The Hornets finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 172 to 180 for Oceanside.

At Auburn Sept. 13, the Windjammers double-up the Red Eddies. Camden Hills finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 179 to 185 for Edward Little.

At Auburn Sept. 13, the Windjammers took down the River Hawks. Camden Hills finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 179 to 211 for Skowhegan.

At Palmyra Sept. 13, the Lions roared to victory over the Warriors. Belfast finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 197 to 204 for Nokomis.
