MOYOCK, N.C. — Susan Gamage, 77, went to be with Jesus, Aug. 31, 2021, at her home with her husband and children at her side, after courageously battling Alzheimer’s for over three years.

Born in Thomaston, Dec. 20, 1943, she was the daughter of Aaron A. and Eleanor Houston Clark. She attended local schools and was a 1962 graduate of Thomaston High School.

She also designed and made wedding cakes for many friends. Her expertise also included reupholstering antique furniture and repairing antique quilts.

For more than 20 years she sang soprano in the church choir and for several years, made matching ties for all the men in the church Christmas cantata. Together with her husband, she mentored married couples whose marriages were in crisis in the Marriage Savers Program.

For 30 years she enjoyed running Sue’s Daycare at her home, showing her love for all children.

Other than her parents, Susan was predeceased by a granddaughter, Nikole, and sister-in-law Janet.
