One person was injured and taken by ambulance to Penobscot Bay Medical Center following a three-vehicle crash in Rockport the morning of Aug. 31.

Rockport Police Officer Travis Ford reported that the crash occurred at the Main and Commercial streets intersection around 11:10 a.m.

A 2001 Audi sedan driven by Liberty Fiske of Camden was travelling north on Commercial Street and a 2014 Ford Fusion sedan operated by Mary Vann of Tennessee was stopped at the Main Street intersection.

Vann pulled out to cross Commercial and did not see the Audi, and both vehicles collided, Ford said.

After the two vehicles struck, Vann’s vehicle then struck a 2004 GMC van operated by Jason Butman of Rockland, who was waiting at the stop sign on the opposite side of Commercial Street.

Fiske was taken by North East Mobile Health Services ambulance to Penobscot Bay Medical Center. All three drivers were wearing seat belts, Ford said.
