SEARSMONT — Author Catherine Gorski O’Connor of Appleton holds a book signing of her new children’s book, “The Bears’ Halloween Ball” Saturday, Sept. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Fraternity Village General Store, 12 Main St. North.
Have you heard of the bears’ Halloween Ball? Every October the bears have a wonderful Halloween Ball. They dress in costumes, dance to music, eat goodies and celebrate having fun. Join them in this colorful and happy story written in rhyme.
O’Connor grew up in Connecticut and now lives in Appleton. As a child, her grandfather read to her every day; fairy tales, stories and rhymes. That developed her love of reading and inspired her to write her own stories, which she also illustrates. Her stories and artwork are creative, colorful, imaginative and full of life.
“The Bears’ Halloween Ball” is O’Connor’s third book; “I Love My Socks” was published in 2019 and “The Snowman Choir” in 2020.
The book is available locally at Sherman’s, 47 Maverick St., Rockland; Out On A Whimsey, 88 Main St., Belfast; and Fraternity Village General Store, 12 Main St. North, Searsmont; and also on O’Connor’s website, funkybirch.studio.
