UNION — The 150th Union Fair ended on a high note with the new annual event, the mud run.

Vehicles of all shapes and sizes from around the state participated in this loud, messy event, which started at noon Aug. 28 and continued until after 9 p.m.

The competition included an obstacle course, a j-hook race and a burnout competition.

The event was coordinated by Union Fair Trustee Ryan Soule and sponsored by the radio station New Country Bear.

Other sponsors were: Hartland Sand & Gravel; Union Fire and Rescue; Copelands Garage Inc.; Prock Marine Co.; Soule’s Farm; Kirkpatrick; State Sand and Gravel; Richardson’s Excavation; Union Fair Demolition Derby.
