THOMASTON — The Thomaston municipal building is closed Aug. 30, due to a positive case of COVID-19.
A statement from Town Manager Kara George said the town hopes to reopen the building Sept. 2.
“The Town of Thomaston is taking every precaution to ensure the safety of its employees and citizens at this time,” George said. “Per Maine CDC guidelines, all direct contact employees will be required to obtain a negative test result in order to resume working in the office.”
Online services are still available at the town’s website such as vehicle registrations, hunting and fishing licenses, boat and ATV registrations, and sewer and tax payments.
The website is thomastonmaine.gov.
Correspondences can be left at the drop box outside the entrance of the municipal building or mailed to: 13 Valley St., Thomaston ME 04861.
