CAMDEN — Watershed School will host the “Oh Dam! Let’s talk about the Megunticook River” event Friday, Aug. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at 1 Free St. in Camden.
Speakers will include experts on climate resilience and river ecology and will talk about the history of the Megunticook River and its dams, the effects climate change will have on the river and the town of Camden, and how we can mitigate those effects for a resilient river and community.
The event, which is sponsored by the Maine Environmental Education Association, will include live music, refreshments, children’s activities, and door prize drawings from Patagonia. For more information and updates, visit megunticookriver.org
