PORT CLYDE — Port Clyde Art Gallery, 5 Cold Storage Road, invites the public to a special reception Friday, Aug. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. to celebrate its 20th season. Masks suggested.

Over those two decades, PCAG has exhibited the works of numerous local artists inspired by the charm and rugged beauty of the Maine coast as well as by their own life experiences and imaginations. The gallery began in 2001 when seven local women, known as “The Girl Ain’t Right,” jointly exhibited their fine art and crafts at the Sea Studio in Tenants Harbor. By 2003, membership expanded and the gallery relocated to its present location in the village of Port Clyde on the second floor of the Red Barn across from the General Store.

Daily hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit portclydeartgallery.com for more information.
